|How SERVICOM assisted me get my pensions - retiree|
A retired staff of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Mr. Oduala Lasunkanmi Olumuyiwa of No 23A Ogunlana Street, Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos is now a happy man after SERVICOM assisted him to get his entitlements from his Pension Fund administrator.
Mr. Olumiyiwa has written to the SERVICOM office on the 6th of January complaining that he was having difficulties assessing his savings after he had submitted his Retirement Indemnity Form to IBTC his PFA since November 2008.
“I wish to bring to your notice that the IBTC PFA and PENCOM are using double standards to attend to retiree benefits. Since 24th November 2008, I have forwarded my duly filled forms of retiree benefits and programmed withdrawal agreement, nothing again. Please come to my rescue, I am fed up with IBTC”, his complaint read in part.
Using its routine method, the SERVICOM Office had forwarded the complaint to PENCOM”s Nodal Officer who quickly went into work leading to the resolution of the complaints in less than three weeks.
Mr. Olumuyiwa, who was apparently excited, had written in on the 22nd of January to thank the SERVICOM Office. His letter reads thus in parts” I personally felt very happy when I knew your efforts over my plight with PENCOM and grateful to your positive approaches which yielded great dividends that led to prompt attention action by both my PFA Stanbic IBTC Pension managers and PENCOM
“I received information that my accrued right was ready and that , I should contact my bank for confirmation. I was delighted when my bank confirmed the receipt from my PFA. Indeed, I have faith from the on-set that, with SERVICOM, the matter is settled, your service delivery, very scientific and like lightening, you solved people’s problems and apprehensions within a reasonable day (sic)”
SERVICOM encourages Nigerians to complain when they are not satisfied with services offered by government agencies.
